The proposed article presents the results of a study of the originality of the implementation of esthetic therapy in the correctional and pedagogical activity of a speech therapist. An important component of social development, a condition and basis for the stability and  prosperity of society is the physical, spiritual and psychological health of the population, in particular of its most promising part - children. In this context, one cannot underestimate the importance of beauty and harmony, that is, the aesthetic qualities of the organization of people's lives and lifestyles. It is possible to carry out an esthetic therapeutic effect with the help of numerous means, among which it is worth highlighting the means of natural and social (man-made) origin. Types of aesthetic therapy in most cases in their name reflect the main means of psychological and pedagogical influence. Acceptance of commented drawing in esthetic therapy allows the speech therapist to achieve positive results in working with children who have speech disorders. The problem of the development of artistic and creative abilities of children is solved in the process of supplementing the traditional methods of teaching drawing with non-traditional techniques. Therefore, esthetic therapy is an effective means of developing a child's speech. The implementation of the principles of esthetic therapy in the corrective and pedagogical activity of a speech therapist in combination with inclusive approaches will contribute to a better realization of the emotional and educational needs of children with impaired speech development, which will definitely have a positive effect on their personal development and creative self-expression.

Key words: esthetic therapy, impaired speech development, speech therapist, aesthetic perception, visual arts.
