Theoretical and methodological aspects of the future specialists terminological competence formation in the field of special education

The article reveals the essence of the concepts of "competence", "professional competence", "vocational and terminological competence". Features of the formation of terminological competence as a compulsory component of the  therapist’s speech culture  are considered. In particular, the author considers that the system of general and professional knowledge is an important component of a competitive specialist, and the level of his professional broadcasting involves the mastery of the vocabulary terminology.

The problem of formation of professional-terminological competence of future specialists in scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists is analyzed. The current state of formation of the studied competence in students of pedagogical specialties in higher education institutions is traced.

The results of the theoretical study have shown that the term is a special word or phrase taken in the professional activity, which is used in special conditions and is included in the system of concepts of a certain field of professional knowledge. The author outlines the peculiarities of forming the basis of the terminological competence of future specialists in the field of special education.

It has been determined that knowledge and possession of specific terminology will ensure success in situations of professional communication, while the low level of professional fluency prevents adequate awareness, objective assessment and profound knowledge of the students by professional disciplines.

The ways of increasing the efficiency of formation of the future specialists’ terminology dictionary are determined. Among the methods that facilitate the mastery of professional terminology in the course of performing various written tasks, the simulation of situations, in particular of a creative nature, demonstrating the depth of understanding and the ability to use the terms to be mastered in the learning process is highlighted.

It is revealed that the introduction of information and communication technologies in the process of studying professional disciplines contributes to: the presentation of material teaching; expansion of the information search environment; transition of professional communication to a new level; reduces the time spent checking the knowledge of professional students terminology; provides an opportunity to develop creative tasks, contributing to the development of students' creativity.

It is concluded that taking into account the exceptional role of terminology in professional activity, it is important to find new methods and organizational forms for teaching students of higher education institutions.
