This article analyzes theoretical and methodological provisions and approaches to the problem of adolescent personality development with intellectual disabilities, in particular the content and nature, cognitive foundations of adolescent personality development with typical development; characterization of adolescents' personality development with intellectual disabilities was performed; the
peculiarities of adolescent personality development with intellectual disabilities in the educational process are indicated. We have defined and analyzed the state and peculiarities of pedagogical practice in relation to psychological and pedagogical provision of the process of correction of disorders in the structure of adolescents with intellectual disabilities. The article focuses on the immaturity
of the personality of this category of children, which is due primarily to the peculiarities of the development of their needs, intelligence, emotional sphere, behavior. In our opinion, the development of adolescents' personality with intellectual disabilities is possible subject to purposeful long-term correctional and educational influence. The most effective and regulatory in the development of personality of adolescents with intellectual disabilities is their inclusion in extracurricular educational work. Conditions for correction of adolescents'
personal development with intellectual disabilities are: favorable psychological climate; inclusion of children in interpersonal relationships in the process of various activities involved in extracurricular education; developing children's communication skills; security pedagogical regime; creating trust between the subject and the object of upbringing by criteria such as normative, juxtaposed
and personal. In the article we have described the method of correction of violations of the personality structure of adolescents with intellectual disabilities, the most effective stages of which are: use of conversation with hidden content; reading ethical stories; playing stories; end of stories; analysis of a series of drawings involving different variants of children's behavior in one situation; analysis of texts with polar moral situations.
